Sarah and Paul were married on 5th September at Molteno Hall, Fortingall. They were planning their wedding for about a year in total... "From booking the venue to filling a couple of trolleys full of whisky, cheese and barbeque sides two days before the wedding." Huge thanks to John Elphinstone Stirling for sharing his images of the day, you can catch him on hiswebsite or Facebook.
Sam and Nathan were married on 20th June (just exactly a year ago, happy first anniversary guys!) in beautiful Crail; East Neuk of Fife. Their ceremony was in Sam's parents garden (lucky!) and reception in the Community Hall. I just LOVE everything about their wedding and all the images that Ingrid and Alex from The Drawing Room have captured! You can catch them on their website, Facebook or Instagram.
I am lucky that some of my awesome #teamBB members are up for guest posting on the blog while I am adjusting to having two kids under three! My new baby is a month old today already and I can't bear it, the time is passing too quickly! When the lovely Sonnda from Hautecake by Sonnda Catto offered to share her tips for small wedding cakes I was really interested in hearing how she makes a small cake look just as spectacular as those huge showstoppers!
Kirsten and Pol were married on 9th August at The Recital Rooms at City Halls in Glasgow... "we were planning for about 9 months! We decided in the November to finally set a date!" Huge thanks to The Gibsons for sharing their images of this pretty city wedding! You can catch Chantal and Scott on their website, Facebook or Instagram.
Raving about Scotland's best weddings, and the inspiration around them.
Welcome to Braw Brides! My name is Heather and this is my blog about the best of Scotland's weddings. It's a great place to find inspiration for your own wedding, or just to have a nosy!
Braw Brides has been around for a few years, but we've relaunched with a new site in time for the 2016 wedding season, and there's lots of new stuff to get excited about! We'll have some monthly contributions from Emma Brady and Euan Robertson, who are going to be blogging their experiences as they plan their respective weddings! Also, the entire blog is now a fully tagged and searchable resource, which means it's a great place to research different interpretations of your own wedding styles.
We're also putting together a great community of Scottish suppliers (#teamBB!) who are eager to help you make your wedding day perfect. We're assembling a great list of trusted, high quality and friendly suppliers to give you inspiration, hopefully championing some lesser known but high quality suppliers in the process.
I'd love to hear from you about your own wedding plans, and to help out in any way I can, so don't be shy about getting in touch to chat weddings!
Heyo! We are Betty & David aka tub of jelly. We love all the weddings. Most of our couples find us by searching for “quirky” or “alternative” photography. We do video too! We have a passion for cinema, gaming & eating copious amounts of garbage. We have a cat called Oscar; he’s a monster.
Nick Bruce and His Blinding Lights is a high-energy six-piece jam band playing funk/soul covers. Think big vocal harmonies, an awesome horn section, and eccentric mash-ups. We specialise in absolutely nailing corporate function and wedding gigs, and in playing a highly bombastic and arguably too-long version of Purple Rain.
Hair, make up, champagne and fun! Thats my job! With over 15 years experience in the wedding industry I absolutely love looking after brides and their families on their special day. With three industry awards for outstanding service, I pride myself on delivering an exceptional service for your wedding day. I also have a highly skilled hair and make up Bridal Team, so we can look after lots of lovely weddings.
