Raving about Scotland's best weddings, and the inspiration around them.

Welcome to Braw Brides! My name is Heather, and this is my blog raving about Scotland’s best weddings and the inspiration around them. On this blog I hope you find some inspiration for your own wedding day, or, if you’re anything like me, for someone else’s wedding, or, just for an imaginary wedding (don’t deny it, we all do it)!

Here at Braw Brides we hope to champion the most stylish, quirky, beautiful, romantic Scottish weddings and hope we can inspire you for your own special day. After getting married myself in 2012 I just couldn’t leave the wedding world behind and am constantly looking at new and unique interpretations of the ‘traditional’ wedding. I am passionate about inspiring Scottish soon-to-weds to have their wedding, ‘their way’ and look to inspire you all through finding the most creative and imaginative ideas I can find!

Braw Brides has relaunched in November 2015, and there's a few changes to get excited about! The blog is now a fully tagged and searchable resource, which means it's a great place to research different interpretations of your own wedding styles. That's not the only change - we're now retina-compatible for all posts after October 2015, meaning that all new content will look lovely on any size of screen!

We're also putting together a great community of Scottish suppliers (#teamBB!) who are eager to help you make your wedding day perfect. From photographers and videographers to florists and stationers, we're assembling a great list of trusted, high quality and friendly suppliers to give you inspiration, hopefully championing some lesser known but high quality suppliers in the process. Click on the directory to get started - it's a work in progress, but there's already some fantastic suppliers in there, with many more to come.

Finally - I've got a great wee team of contributors and web folk to add some new perspectives on the blog and to keep things ticking over tech-wise, and you can meet them below! Euan and Emma are our blogging bride and groom and they're going to take us on their journeys as they plan their respective weddings, both for autumn 2016!

Please enjoy the blog and get in touch - I’d love to hear your thoughts and ideas, and any questions if you have them!
