tina + moritz | the cow shed

Tina and Moritz were married at The Cow Shed on 13th May. They were planning their wedding for about eight months. Huge thanks to the talented Mr Seán Bell for sharing his images of the day with us. You can find Seán on his website, Facebook or Instagram.

"I decided on a dress from Atelier Pronovia. I loved it and in my view it was beautiful and perfect. I had been to quite a few dress shops, but could not find what I was looking for, partially because I was open to many different styles. Eventually I was getting worried that I would not find 'the' dress, but I think that helped me narrowing my style selection. When I found my dress I had gone to a shop in Wimbledon and I described what I had tried on and liked. The assistant was a dream, down to earth, helpful and above all genuine. She suggested a dress that fitted what I had described to her. After trying it on was perfect and I knew it was the dress. I was so sad to take it off at the end of the night."

"Moritz was very involved with most details during planning. He works offshore and when he came back for his time off he committed his attention to it full time."

"We both wanted a rustic venue, which was close by the sea, and when we saw the Cow Shed we knew it was the perfect choice for us. We really wanted our pictures be taken by the sea. With the venues location we were able to take a short drive down the road and had our pictures taken on the most beautiful small beach."

"Going to all the areas of Scotland to visit venues was our favourite part of the planning process. It gave us the ability to travel through Scotland and see the amazing country side as well as venues and then imagine ourselves there for the day."

"We had a contemporary ceremony but with many religious details included. The celebrant, Steve, did really well combining both a casual atmosphere without it becoming too informal. We had a great time planning the ceremony with Steve and he managed to include all the aspects that we wanted. He took his time to get to know us and that was reflected in the service."

"My favourite detail would have been the flower archway that all our family helped to make. We decided to do the venue flowers ourselves and we are still so glad we did it. The flower arch was magnificent and a true testament that you never know all the skills you have until you put them to the test. There were a few mishaps with the staple gun but everyone working together was great."

"We loved seeing all our friends and family, who had made a huge effort to be there and celebrate the day with us. It was amazing to have such great support from our loved ones and be able to share such special moments with them. "

"It is hard to pick my favourite memory, there are just too many. However if I would have to pick one I would say it was our first dance. With everyone standing around us watching us doing the our first dance, we knew that we were now married and have amazing friends and family celebrating this special day with us. Then the party got started; we both love a party."

"No time is too short to plan a wedding, we were a bit relaxed at the beginning but it worked out in the end.  Don’t compromise on what you want as a couple, even if it will cost a little money, get what you want, you won't be disappointed. Finally it is never too late to change a plan if it is not working for you. It is your day and you want it to be perfect. We had a couple of last minute changes and they made the day even more special."

"We were so lucky with the suppliers we chose. They all were exceptional. However we felt that there were a couple of suppliers that went above and beyond to help us out. We didn’t initially realise how much organisation a wedding is but with the great help of The Cow Shed, Lazy Sunday and Best Classic Weddings we managed to get everything back on track."

"Sean Bell was amazing. We actually only met him on the day of our wedding and he put us right at easy with his professionalism. We were so happy that we picked him."

"Without Orchard Wedding Films the day would literally not have happened. Steve did our ceremony and it was perfect. We could have not asked for anything better. Him and Cheryl did such an amazing job with the film and it will be a great memory to have for the future."
