#teamBB never fail to deliver when it comes to a styled shoot, and I am so excited to show you this epic Alice in Wonderland inspired creation. Jade from Dragonfly and Butterbee Vintage and Anna from Origami Fox told us a little more about their initial idea...
"Lisa and I love an opportunity to be as creative as we can possibly be. We did a Disney princesses shoot two years ago and thought about doing an Alice shoot after how much fun we had on that. So we brought it to the Braw Brides team and everyone contributed ideas from there."
"The aesthetic was a combination of the classic and new versions of the Alice in Wonderland story, and with all our creative heads it came together amazingly. Instigated by Jade and Lisa from Dragonfly Dress Design's and Butterbee Vintage's original vision and focused around their outfits, each suppliers contribution brought together the whole concept and was captured beautifully by Marc in the perfect location of Tullibole Castle - with so many nooks and crannys to shoot in we were spoilt for choice!"
The characters were brought to life by our stunning models, amazing hair & make-up by Lesley at Pamper and Polish and Fiona Park, paired with incredible floral creations by Emma from Betty Bluebell. Alice enjoys an afternoon of playing & reading before following the white rabbit down the rabbit hole. She meets the Mad Hatter, who's tea party was prepared by Flora from Morningside Bakes creating the big cake... "My inspiration for the cake ended up coming from the Jonny Depp film poster and I created a 'Through the Looking Glass' idea."
Suzanne from Suzanne Esper Cakes created the cookies, sugar flowers, macarons and meringue mushrooms with more floral arrangements by Emma as well as table plan and stationery by Anna at Origami Fox.
Emma exclusively used flowers and foliage grown half an hour from the shoot location by Rosie at Scottish Cut Flowers... "I usually use predominately imported flowers from Holland, Columbia, Equador and Kenya for wedding work so wanted to showcase the incredible product we have available close to home. Rosie cut from her walled garden to fit three simple briefs - punchy reds and dark pinks for the Queen of Hearts, pretty and delicate whites, pale pinks and pale blue for Alice and as many colours as possible for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party."
