Loving this. Such a cracking team of Scottish businesses have worked on this bridal boudoir shoot. Thank you so much to the lovely Olesja from In The Name of Love Photography for sharing this with us... you can catch Olesja on her website, Facebook or Instagram. She tells us more about the inspiration and styling for the shoot here...
"So often, you hear bridal boudoir and you immediately think of tight corsets, flash lighting and severe hair and make up. Our team decided to do a beautifully light and airy boudoir shoot, focusing much more on capturing the moments between poses and using modern yet timeless elements and accessories to create images that are truly classic, flattering and can be shown off over the years to everyone, not just your husband!"
"We wanted to hand pick suppliers who are all well established and renowned in the Scottish wedding industry. I decided to use only natural light in order to create images that were soft, diffused and that captured the famous, magical Scottish light. The photoshoot took place in Joyce Young's incredible bridal design studio (where the lingerie is stocked), with floor to ceiling windows and beautiful French furniture working with the gorgeously fine luxurious dove grey and rich cream lace and silk lingerie by Shell Belle Couture on show."
"Hair was styled by Lesley of award-winning Pamper and Polish into touchable, tousled curls that was both soft and sexy. Make-up by Jenna Clayton was subtle and slightly smoky and picked up the beautiful tea rose and muted peach tones from the incredible bouquet of roses, narcissus, dill and freesias by Lisa from Floral Menagerie."
"Handcrafted jewellery by Sarah Brown in rose and yellow gold hues and bespoke calligraphy stationery in old gold and twine shades by Laura E Patrick further enhanced the idea of natural beauty."
"The photos tell a story of a young bride looking forward to the not so distant future, and the team hopes they serve to inspire future brides in both their wedding and any pre wedding shoots they might have. Boudoir doesn't have to mean obviously sexy, and this shows boudoir shoots can be classy, subtle and incredibly stylish."
