- Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter?
All of them! My favourites are the visual ones so Pinterest & Instagram, but Instagram for the interaction with people. But Facebook is way ahead as it’s where everybody is.
- Glasgow or Edinburgh?
- Biggest achievement?
Creating my beautiful family with my wife. If they were all I had in the world I’d be very satisfied with my lot.
- Scottish Wedding Venue?
The Big Wooden House in Brodick on the Isle of Arran.
- Wedding traditions or anything goes?
- Five dream dinner party guests?
FIVE?!! Crikey. My granddad, who I never got to meet. Can I just have dinner with him? No? Okay. Richard Branson who has always been an inspiration to me. James Cordon, what can I say, I like the guy. Julie Walters who would probably be the life and soul of the party. Mike Gayle, one of my favourite authors.
- What would you cook them?
It would have to be lamb. Probably a lamb shank on a bed of my award winning mash (award winning in my head, it tastes damn good) with some steamed broccoli and caramelised onion gravy.
- Last book you read?
Graham Norton: The Life and Loves of a He Devil.
- Favourite film?
I think I’m still pretty hooked on the Bourne films, first three in particular. I’ve watched too many good films to have an all time favourite, I have favourites in different genres. But I do love a film that really pulls on my emotions and makes me think, which I know isn’t the Bourne films but hey!
- Guilty pleasure?
I’m struggling to think of anything here. Bit boring but I do love a good RomCom. Does that even class as a guilty pleasure?!
- Favourite first dance song?
My favourite first dance song I’ve actually heard at a wedding was Northern Wind by City & Colour, so original. But my favourite and one I’d love to hear be played as a first dance song would be You’re My Lady by Breaks Co-Op. I’ve thrown a few songs up in my Playlist section on my website.
- Old, new, borrowed or blue?
- Wedding dress or wedding shoes?
Seriously? You’re asking me this?! Wedding dress. My favourites I’ve seen have had lace through them, lovely.
- Aspiring to be?
A dad my kids are proud of and want to spend time with.
- Ceremony or reception?
Oooo that’s actually a tricky one. I’ve witnessed some lovely non-traditional ceremonies with tears and laughter, you can’t beat that. Equally there have been some fabulous receptions, but let’s go for ceremonies.
- One piece of wedding planning advice?
Go with your heart and make decisions that are right for you both, not what other people are telling you to do.
- One piece of wedding day advice?
Every now and again, both take 5 minutes to step back from it all and take it all in. It’ll help you remember it and make the day last longer.
