lesley + euan | the byre at inchyra

Lesley and Euan were married at The Byre at Inchyra on 16th October 2015. I've known Lesley for a long time and it was an honour to be a guest at their stunning Autumn wedding. They were planning their wedding for 1 year. Huge thanks to the brilliant Euan from EuanR Photo for sharing his images of the day, he's not just a blogging groom people! You can catch Euan on his website, Facebook or Instagram. A real #teamBB effort here as Lesley and Euan also had the creativity and expertise of the brilliant Daisybelle Wedding Stationery, Betty Bluebell and Lazy Sunday Catering. See them at our Wedding Workshop on 28th February!

Also huge thanks to Robert from Macdonald Studios for sharing this gorgeous highlights video, almost shed a wee tear watching this! You can contact Robert on his website, Facebook or Instagram.

"We loved the laid back and rustic look and feel of the barn at Inchyra! I saw the vision of what could be created through my Pinterest eyes!"

"I loved writing our story for the ceremony... as we had a Humanist ceremony and it was all centred around our story and relationship. The task of writing this was a period of reflection over the last seven years and it was so nice to reflect on how we met etc!"

"Euan had an opinion... which I really valued. He was a great sounding board and definitely good at telling me I was doing great.... but I was definitely the driving force behind the planning!"

"We visited three dress shops... I tried on lots of different styles, which I'm so glad I did. It's good to rule them out even if you think you're sure! But I did end up going for something I thought I'd go for.... a lacy gown, figure hugging with a low back. Beautiful but relaxed at the same time. I almost didn't try it on though.... it was only available in a pinky colour in the shop so I ruled it out.... the girl made me try it and then they ordered it for me in ivory....I'm so glad she made me try it!"

"The ceremony was my favourite part of the day I think! It's what it's all about really isn't it? It was just so nice.... I was emotional... more than I expected and Euan was too! Which I kind of liked. It was a lovely mix of emotional, personal and funny. My brother did a reading and that was a highlight for me..... I just loved how personal it was - exactly what we wanted."

"Euan made a large Polaroid frame which was a massive hit and I loved looking back at all the photos of people - especially all the ones where it's people who don't know each other (or didn't until the wedding!) having a laugh. It really brought people together."

"My dad coming into the room is my clearest memory... was a special moment."

"Go with your gut feeling on things. It's always right. We nearly picked the wrong venue.... I'm so glad I went to the Byre as I almost ruled it out without seeing it. As soon as I did see it I knew that was the only place that would do to get married. Throw practicality out the window...you know what's right and you will make it work!"

"I honestly feel like I had the best team of wedding suppliers around me!!"

"Euan, our photographer was amazing. We were worried about the photography part....would we feel forced, staged...would it be a drag during the day? But Euan made it so easy! He was light hearted, fun, made us feel comfortable and it was a pleasure to have him around on the day in general. The end result was brilliant too - we love our photos so much."

"Lazy Sunday Catering.... everyone raved about the food! We had something a little different... buffalo pie! Went down a treat. Service was first class too!"
