becki + neil | fonab castle

Becki and Neil were married at Fonab Castle on 15th October - boy, what a stylish wedding this is! Huge thanks to Carole-Ann from Harper Scott Photography for sharing her images of the day. You can catch Carole-Ann on her website, Facebook and Instagram.

"We stayed there in May 2015 when my dad and his wife were visiting from America. We fell in love with the hotel and when we got engaged in July 2015 I knew immediately that I would love to get married at Fonab Castle. It has amazing views over Loch Fiskally and is such a beautiful hotel."

"I hunted for my dress for a few months, however once I found it I knew it was the one for me. I got it from Eleganza in Glasgow - the girls there were amazing! Its a Martina Liana dress that I had altered a little by adding extra lace to the neck line so it was higher. It was ivory lace, a mermaid shape with a low back, I loved it."

"We had a Religious ceremony performed by my grandad. Our ceremony was so personal to us and I remember it vividly, the nerves before hand, the relief when I saw Neil and the smiles so big they made our cheeks hurt!"

"Neil is very laid back and I’m a bit of a perfectionist so he was very supportive but let me get on with organising most of it."

"Designing my invitations, stationery and fabric for the tables and cake table back drop was my favourite part of the planning process. I have a background in textile design so I loved being able to put my own stamp on our wedding. Even if it did mean late nights on the lead up to the big day!"

"As mentioned above I made a lot of my details and it really made everything so special to us. We also had Bygone Photo Booth who were fantastic who printed off two copies of the photos; one to give to the guests and one to put in our guest book which we love to look back on now."

"Get creative and make things that are personal to you to make it extra special!"

"Our band, Sneaky Treacle were fab and we all danced all night long and of course having our wee puppy Lola there was fab to get cuddles on our day."
