"We fell in love with Aikwood Tower before we had even visited the venue. We only visited Aikwood Tower on our quest for a wedding venue as I had quite specific requirements and knew it would be perfect for a wedding in November. I wanted a venue that was quirky, modern, intimate and somewhere we could take over for the weekend. Aikwood Tower was indeed perfect."
"I loved every part of wedding planning, I love a project and being creative. I loved picking my colours and then spending hours and days sourcing paper, felt, fabric dyes and cake stands from all over the world in the perfect shade of mulberry. I loved seeing my Pinterest wedding become a reality! I miss it!"
"Stephen was very involved, he picked the menu, the band, he made all of the flower boxes and brass pipe frame for the ceremony and stayed up till silly o'clock cutting out flower petals. We tend to like similar things so it made it easy when I would come home with another crazy DIY idea."
"I was incredibly nervous about trying to find a dress as I am curvy but I knew what I was looking for. I wanted a gown that was fitted at the top and that floated past my hips with NO lace. During the process I decided to embrace my curves and ended up choosing a beautiful, fitted, simple, elegant fishtail with sweetheart neckline to which I added straps. I was drawn to the colour as it was dark ivory/champagne and I loved the simplicity of the gown."
"Is it bad to say the cake was my favourite part of the day?! The croquembouche, ever since my cousins wedding in France I have been obsessed with having a croquembouche as our wedding cake. We had it as our dessert on the day and it was so delicious! We are already planning another one for our anniversary."
"The flowers were my favourite detail, we made three hundred paper and felt flowers for the wedding. As we were getting married in November I knew that I might be restricted with the type of flowers I could have. My favourite flower is a peony and they weren't available so I decided to be creative and make my own. My husband, parents and bridesmaids all helped to cut out all 11,000 petals which made them even more special on the day and we will have them to cherish for years to come."
"My clearest part of the day was sitting down to eat our meal and thinking holy crap I'm married, this is exactly how I wanted the venue to look and that I was surrounded by everyone that I love and I couldn't have been happier (cue the happy tears)."
"Sit down and work out what you both actually want on the day not what you are 'supposed' to have because it's your wedding day. Also don't sweat the small stuff because on the day it really doesn't matter!"

"We had our stationery designed by Melissa at Littegreen Creative. She designed our save the dates, invitations, RSVP's, seating plan and signature cocktail menu. She is professional and hugely talented, I fell in love with her design from the start. She has amazing creativity and vision for all things stationery."
"Betty and David from Tub of Jelly are two of the most lovely people you will meet. They made us both feel so comfortable on the day and have captured our day perfectly. I especially loved the thoughtful details included in our final delivery of photographs."
