"It’s actually a really weird story, I like to call it fate ..."
"In November 2012 Julia had just met one of the singers who on appeared on X-Factor and she tweeted her after the gig. So many people started following her and one of them was me. This is why I call it fate because both of us NEVER really used twitter and still don’t but tweeting Julia has turned out to be the best thing I have ever done!"
"We messaged back and forward a few times - I followed Julia on other different social media platforms, asked for her number first and was clearly very keen. Julia likes to refer to me as a 'keeper' - isn’t she romantic?"
"After a few weeks I just stopped replying because she seemed to good to be true and meeting someone over the internet scared me a little. Julia was clearly upset that I never replied and sent me abuse over text and jumped straight to the point and asked to meet me - she was a little bit sassy and bossy and I found that very intriguing, so I said yes!"
"We met at Tesco car park, I know its a little strange but it made sense at the time. We pulled our cars up next to each other and Julia got in my car and we chatted for three or four hours! It was a surreal experience for me - when I was driving away from her I felt like I didn’t want to leave her. She was the most beautiful thing I had ever saw - it was without a doubt love at first sight for me. Before we met we had both been struggling with who we were and what we wanted but once we met, everything just made sense!"
"I am clearly the romantic one and with all of lives uncertainties, the one thing I was 100% certain of - was I wanted to marry Julia. On Christmas Eve 2015 I did a great job of fooling Julia which is VERY difficult to do. I hired out the Kinkell Byre in St.Andrews which is the most amazing rustic barn. I had our fluffy baby in a little t-shirt saying 'Say Yes', fairy lights, rose petals, champers and a huge 16ft christmas tree! I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me and to my delight she said yes, of course!"
"Being a wedding photographer myself, I wanted a venue that was a little bit different and offered a blank canvas so that we could add all of our own personal touches - and Kinkell Byre is certainly that. I was in awe of this place when I chose it as my proposal location and I just love that Julia fell in love with it too. Our whole day will take place there, not only because it has a special place in our hearts but because its simply stunning! It’s rustic setting suits us as a couple, the beautiful lighting and gorgeous location offers endless opportunities to make our day perfect! One thing we are both excited to see is our wedding photos and video! I have always admired videography as an art and we have chosen the most amazing person to capture our day! Chris captures moments in a way that I take much inspiration from and we are now lucky enough to call him our friend!"
"Marriage to us is about being a team! We are so supportive of each other and take on the world together which makes any situation a little easier to handle because we are united. Being with Julia is easy, loving her is easy, and finding a person with a heart like hers is very rare! Julia is marrying me for me, along with all my faults and she feels like I make her the best version of herself which is why she wants to spend her life with me, because she always wants to feel like that, which is all I could wish for! We are indestructible and marriage just cements that - we just want it all together and to be with each other forever."
