an elegant rustic inspired wedding at the cow shed in crail

Having celebrated their engagement in Dubai, Gemma and Andy chose to get married closer to home at the Cow Shed in Crail on 15th September. They were planning their wedding for around eighteen months. Huge thanks to the lovely Loraine of Loraine Ross Weddings for sharing her images of the day with us. You can contact Loraine on her website, Facebook or Instagram.

“We love that part of Scotland and we really wanted to make our wedding day our own.  The Cow Shed was exactly what we wanted, rustic but not shabby!”

“I think venue hunting was good fun, travelling about and seeing different venues which you’d never seen before or areas you’d never been to.”

“Whilst I did most of the research Andy had a say in everything.”

“My dress was the first dress I tried on, although I did try on many more after just to make sure!  It was the Zenith dress by Eliza Jane Howell.  I bought it from Perfect Bridal in Aberdeen and my stylist Amanda picked it out for me.  She made the whole process so easy and the shop has so much choice.”

“We had a Humanist ceremony.  We’d always agreed that we really enjoy Humanist ceremonies & how they are so personal to each couple.”

“I was blown away by our food by Delicious Catering and just the general atmosphere of the room after the speeches was just filled with so much happiness.”

“We used the Little White Cow to help us decorate the venue and from first seeing an empty barn to filling it with all this amazing furniture and finishing's just really brought the feel to our wedding.  They really do nail the smallest of details which make it all look amazing!”

“The whole day was a complete whirlwind, but probably the moment we walked into the room before the speeches is a great memory. It was nice to spend five minutes to ourselves.”

“People have an opinion on everything, but it is your day, so do what you want to do!”
