Braw Brides; Scottish Wedding Inspiration
- Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter?
I'm all about Insta right now!
- Glasgow or Edinburgh?
Got to be Glasgow, I don't have the nickname 'Weegie' for nothing.
- Biggest achievement?
People who know me will groan because I never stopped going on about it but my biggest individual achievement is running 26.2 miles of the Loch Ness Marathon in 2012. If any of you haters would like to run a marathon first of all then you are allowed to groan!
Collectively with my husband bringing my baby into the world and managing to survive early parenthood so far.
- Scottish Wedding Venue?
Arrrrgh well it has to be my own; Boturich Castle at Loch Lomond but you can check out my recent post where I choose a new venue here to find out more of my favourites!
- Wedding traditions or anything goes?
I like tradition, all for people doing things out of the box but personally I like to follow the old school... Dad walks bride down the aisle, Father of Bride, Groom and Best Man speeches, favours, not a line up though, not a fan of a line up...
- Five dream dinner party guests?
Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall and Kylie... what? Not acceptable?
Okay if I'm being serious, Kim Kardashian would still be in there, Marshall Mathers, Richard Hammond, Leonardo diCaprio and Justin Timberlake.
I know, it's still not too high brow.
- What would you cook them?
- Last book you read?
It was called The Photographers Wife by Nick Alexander. I read things my Kindle tells me to.
- Favourite film?
I love all Baz Luhrmann's efforts... Romeo & Juliet, Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby. Also The Beach. Big Leo fan.
- Guilty pleasure?
Keeping up with the Kardashians and most other reality TV.
- Favourite first dance song?
Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars
- Old, new, borrowed or blue?
- Wedding dress or wedding shoes?
- Aspiring to be?
Ooft, I'm hoping that will come to me when I turn 30 this year. As long as I am a good Mum that'd be good.
- Ceremony or reception?
Ceremony. That really is the important bit isn't it?
- One piece of wedding planning advice?
Take a breather; make sure you enjoy it by not getting to caught up in it all.
- One piece of wedding day advice?
Make time for your photographs, get a video. Technically two pieces of advice.
