This shoot has been a while in the making! Marc from One Big Picture Photography, Cat from Fin Flukra and I have discussed this on and off for the best part of a year since walking through the doors of Ardgowan House; it really is a timeless venue which I feel gives us some magical images. As always, the small team we worked with on this produced their best work and we are so happy to share this with you.Read More
Earlier this year, we discovered The Engine Works; this venue in the North of Glasgow is going to hold some spectacular weddings, including our own blogging bride Laura’s. This styled shoot was pulled together by Cat from Fin Flükra, our resident wedding planner at Braw Brides, and the whole design concept is the teamwork of Cat, Sarah from Fotomaki Photography and florist Mel from Briar Rose Design (dream team!). The results are a perfect example of how you could have an amazing urban wedding in Glasgow.Read More
“Invariably my initial idea and vision gathered pace very quickly, growing completely organically, and we ended up with something that had a much greater breadth of vision than I had ever initially imagined, whilst still remaining completely true to the light and feminine essence that was at the very core of my initial idea…”Read More
The lovely Rhiannon from Rhiannon Neale Photography trekked to Glenshee with Amanda from The Floral Design Boutique and our very own Lesley from Pamper + Polish to create this shoot, just before we were hit by the beast from the East! You can catch Rhiannon on her website, Facebook + Instagram.
"Amanda & I coordinated this shoot together and had been planning it for months- waiting patiently for the perfect day to pair a romantic snowy atmosphere with the beautiful landscapes of the Scottish highlands."
"There is a magical feeling in the air when it snows and there is something that feels so intimate and cosy about two newlyweds cuddled up together in the snow with a vast mountain backdrop behind them."
"We chose a real couple rather than models for this shoot as we wanted the genuine intimacy of two people in love. Melissa & Ross were married last July and jumped at the chance to get some more photos together in a spot they'd never been to before and Melissa couldn't wait to wear her dress again!"
"When creating the flowers for this shoot I had to bear something in mind - the cold! Flowers like the cold but not sub zero temperatures so I opted for mostly foliage for the bridal bouquet with some eye popping blue anemones."
"The wigwam structure was inspired by the surrounding landscape. I wanted to create a focal piece that would stand out but also compliment the roaming mountains and trees surrounding the couple."
"Melissa has lovely waist length hair so Lesley decided to create a soft, feminine, detailed romantic style to show off her amazing hair and also to withstand an outdoor Highland wedding ceremony! I placed some fresh anemones & foliage at the side to compliment her hairstyle & add colour."
