Lisa and Stephen had their wedding reception at 29 Glasgow on 15th October after having a small family wedding in Iceland in September and then honeymooning in the States. They were planning for around 20 months. Huge thanks to Fiona Higgins for sharing her images of their adventure around Glasgow and knees up at 29. You can catch Fiona on her website, Facebook or Instagram.Read More

Ah where to start with choosing your wedding dress, another overwhelming part of wedding planning! I have one piece of advice; less is more. By that I mean don't visit ten boutiques and try on thirty dresses in one day, it will be a blur and impossible to choose, not to mention exhausting getting in and out of all those dresses! Take your time and make it a relaxing, enjoyable experience! Also, include champagne! When Emma from Emma Lawson Photography sent me the 2015 Collection from Anne Priscilla, I was practically drooling over my screen. Emma took the girls all over Glasgow City Centre shooting these dresses and I just love the city vibe! Lucky models to be running around town in THESE gowns... I got a little more info on this fab shoot from the girls at Anne Priscilla.
"Glasgow: the city where style isn’t so much an option as a way of life. This edgy, diverse and so completely charming city is Anne Priscilla’s home and so, we thought, what better way to pay homage to the city that always inspires us than by showcasing some of our favourite 2015 designs on its cobbled streets, its city balconies and its secret, peaceful corners?"
"This photo shoot really was a collaborative effort, with styling by Anne Priscilla’s own team and photography from the incomparable Emma Lawson, whose shots of one of Anne Priscilla’s brides on her big day we have long admired and whose artistic vision allowed our dresses to shine in a way we had not imagined possible. Hair and Make Up accreditation must go to Carmen of Sassoon Princess Square and Erin and Claire of Twister Sister who really captured the look we were striving to achieve."
"Shooting at various locations all over Glasgow – 29 Glasgow, The Corinthian Casino, The Lighthouse and the GOMA to name but a few – meant that we were able to show off these amazing dresses by designers such as Sassi Holford, Naomi Neoh, Stewart Parvin and Jenny Packham in an entirely original light; with corrugated iron serving as a backdrop for delicate lace and floating tulle veils and silk balanced with imposing Glasgow columns and deep red bricks."
Naomi Neoh 'Ava' with 'Gardner' Jacket
With a rushed strapless bodice with a sweetheart neckline, and gathered at the waist with a full circular skirt in a luxurious silk chiffon, this dreamy gown is just too sweet for words.
Stewart Parvin 'I’ll be Waiting'
A total contrast to the first gown, this Mayfair satin sheath gown is the ultimate in elegance. I just love that simple but stunning back detail.
Jenny Packham 'Bardot'
Sigh, a Jenny Packham, the stuff of dreams! The hand sewn beadwork... sigh. This dress is 100% Silk Chiffon with a slight fitted silhouette. If I were to choose again, and could pull it off...
Stewart Parvin 'All Time High'
This gown is a real stand out from the crowd in my opinion. A strapless sweetheart neckline with a column silhouette using rich Belgravia Lace, paired with a fabulous Silk Dupion overskirt.
Sassi Holford 'Marianne'
But if I was choosing again again (!) I'd go for this Sassi Holford gown... I loved Sassi Holford's designs when I was looking for my own wedding dress. This ball gown style with a pretty knotted tulle overlay, features a rushed duchess satin sash and a diamante bow motif.
Naomi Neoh 'Loretta' with 'Garbo' Jacket and 'Marlene' Belt
A strapless sweetheart neckline gown with a lace bodice, drop waist and a full slim silk satin chiffon skirt.
Jenny Packham 'Harlow'
A fully hand beaded chiffon gown with a beautiful high neck column silhouette and a low v-back. Just love the back of this dress.
Mia Mia by Alan Hannah 'Suzette'
A simple and elegant a-line silhouette with a low v neckline and v back.
Jenny Packham 'Jocasta'
A full Swarovski crystal hand sewn gown with a slim column silhouette. Oh man.
