>> what is it?
It's basically a relaxed afternoon of wedding chat with some folks who know weddings really well! After the success of our previous Wedding Workshops at The National Piping Centre, Arta Glasgow and WEST Brewery, we're back, with loads of new suppliers, and the same chilled-out, interactive approach - and it's free! The workshop this October is at BAaD - that's Barras Art and Design, in the East End of Glasgow (54 Calton Entry, G40 2SB) on Sunday 14th October 2018, from 1pm until 4pm. Like previous events, it'll be an opportunity to come along and workshop your own wedding - the idea is that you can speak to lots of smart, creative folk who attend weddings all the time, across lots of disciplines - photography, floristry, cakemaking, entertainment, videography - and use it as an opportunity to fill in the gaps in your own plans. There will be interactive demonstrations, loads of comfy seating areas for note-taking and discussion, and very likely some sweet treats on the day!
>> how do I book?
Entry to the wedding workshop is completely free with pre-booking, using the form below. Once we receive your request, we'll send you an email to confirm your place. You click the button to confirm your tickets, and that's it - no need to print anything, we'll have you on a guestlist at the venue. Reserve your space here:
>> who will be there?
As usual, we'll have an awesome line-up of creative independent suppliers who are killing it in their fields - and they'll be ready to share their insights into some of their favourite wedding traditions, special touches, unique ideas, and friendly/reliable supplier recommendations that they have. Details on exhibitors coming very soon!
>> kind words from previous workshop attendees!
"Having traipsed round many wedding fayres extremely bored, this blows them all out of the water."
"I really enjoyed the photography Q&A."
"All of the suppliers were so friendly and so lovely and so willing to help out with just general advice for a wedding noob like me!"
"Attended the Scottish Wedding Fair at the SECC the previous week, quite overwhelming compared to this wedding workshop. A lovely and welcoming idea to offer coffee, tea and cake!"
